The nature of my job means I regularly meet experts, but I would describe Lydia as a true nutritional expert with added compassion, understanding and warmth. I was drawn to Lydia after reading about her story on a blog. It really resonated with me and knowing Lydia has been on that journey always helped me be 100% honest at all times.

When I first met with Lydia I was confused about food and a little bit desperate having attended various slimming clubs and tried numerous concepts (should I eat fat, low fat, low carb, high protein?!). My main goal was to loose weight. However, working with Lydia took me on a real journey away from just food. It seems so obvious now but my whole life was intrinsically joined to my waistline. I knew that I comfort ate, but didn’t have the knowledge or skills to tackle this, preferring instead to launch myself into a new gimmick.

In the 6 months Lydia has coached me I have moved in with my boyfriend, had a big promotion at work, attended various (boozy) weddings and had a few holidays. All of these had the capacity to throw me of track with my all or nothing mentality. Working with Lydia allowed me to take a step back and really assess what I wanted and develop skills to tackle stress, pressures, upset and anxiety. I have noticed a positive change in myself and my attitude to food, which in the past has been both my best friend and my enemy. Lydia has encouraged me to try lots of new exercise classes, foods and I’ve even bought a new gadget or two along the way.

Most importantly to me, I now feel at peace and I have freed up so much thinking space! I don’t stress about food or my weight as much, I naturally make healthier decisions and as a result I am loosing weight, in a gradual, healthy way without it being the focus of my every waking thought. These are all things I dreamt of and, whilst there is no magic fix, through Lydia’s wonderful coaching I now feel I have achieved.

I have literally laughed and cried with Lydia and she has been fantastic in every situation celebrating my achievements and cheering me on. I would recommend Lydia to everyone whatever your relationship with food she will help you enhance it and as a result your life.

My top three goals upon starting the 3-month program were to become more confident in my body, to lose weight and to gain knowledge of healthy food that is exciting to eat and Lydia was able to help me work towards these goals. During my one on one sessions I could be open and honest about my food habits, my emotions and life in general. Lydia was so great at equipping me with advice, wisdom and knowledge not only with food and nutrition but how I view myself. She encouraged me that change happens in little steps and that it can definitely become a reality to enjoy eating healthy.

The biggest change I have noticed since beginning the program has been my confidence and a huge boost in my self esteem. Everyone keeps commenting on how I seem different and that I’ve definitely slimed down and I owe it to this programme and to Lydia’s coaching. I have just come to the end of a three month program with Lydia. Lydia has helped me bring balance back in to my life, namely in my approach to food but also to exercise and my social life. At the start, I wanted to break out of a destructive obsession surrounding fad diets, restriction and negative self talk which all lead to a severe lack in self esteem. 3 months later I am more confident in my social life, I am less daunted by food and I feel that I have sprung to life.

Throughout the six sessions and on going email support, Lydia has guided me in food education, she taught me about new types of exercise, highlighted the importance of self love and explained the benefits of taking time out for yoga and meditation. I have learnt so much with her on going support, kindness and the way she is always there by email or for our one on one sessions. I would recommend Lydia to anyone who is feeling low or out of balance and wants to gain control over their lives.
