Body image is such an important topic that I love discussing. So I am happy to share an article that I wrote for my friend Natalie over onÂ The Nutritionista.
I work with many clients who struggle with negative body image and it saddens me to see how negatively they view their bodies and just how this negativity is affecting the way they live their lives.
I suffered terrible body image issues which is why I stayed stuck for so long in regards to my weight and health. Slowly but surely I have started to heal my body image. Of course I have days when I judge my body and struggle with viewing it in a positive light but I don’t allow this to change the way I view or feel about myself. I lived this way for too long and it is not fun. I am human, I will have off days, I will fall into the trap of comparison and that is ok. I am aware of these thoughts and make sure I bring my thinking back to respecting my body and its uniqueness.

Trust me this strategy does not work. Learn to embrace your body as it is so you can take it to where you want it to go. With self compassion and forgiveness.
